So i start to do some research on the benefits on medical cannabis,  it really starts to excite me for what the future has in store for this plant. I have started my research, through everyday patients that walk in on the medical side of the marijuana dispensary. I have a patient that has had seizures for the past 5 years, and the only thing that has helped prevent them from coming back was these Cannabis Tears (which are TCH and CBD capsules that go up to 900mg of total Cannabinoids. i just thought it was so amazing that someone, that has epilepsy, like my father, uses a CBD, TCH infused capsule to help regulate is epileptic episodes.

I am also following this no-profit organization called the "Impact Network" IMPACT NETWORK" where they have a bunch of studies that have been going on with cannabis, and in this case more focused on epeleptic patients. I have started my research focusing on epileptic patients and whether or not the cannabis plant has been beneficial. Farther along in my research, i will expand to cancer, arthritis, and many other illnesses that have potential in either being cured, and regulated. there has been clinical trials started at the University of Colorado taking patients in for studies on whether or not children with epilepsy are able to reduce their episodes by taking these cannabis oils.

In a clinical study in 1978, performed by the "Division of Pediatric Neurology, University of Utah School of Medicine and Primary Children's Hospital, lead by Dr. Francis M Fillous, MD, helped an individual by the name of Carlini Mechoulam, who had a form of epilepsy. Dr. Filloux gave Mechoulam a dosage of 200mg/day for 3 months of a 50/50 CBD mixture and Mechoulam was siezure free. Below is a table of the clinical study.

  1. Emil,
I like that you use real examples of patients that benefit from medical marijuana. Many people can tell you miracle stories about their experiences with cannabis, which I think is great! It's just a matter of the way the state sees it, I read an article about states violating cannabis patient rights, which I hope you touch on as well. I think that as much as cannaboids help their user, they cannot use their medicine like any other prescription. They cannot use it in public, travel over state lines, get it at any pharmacy, these people pay hundreds of dollars a year because they do not receive prescription help for their medication. Many rights that any opiate user would have stops with cannabis patients. Even if your parents don't agree, I think you are joining a cause that many people out there are fighting. Check out this article and I think even if some of your audience doesn't agree with medical marijuana, those who do will realize that they truly are NOT benefiting from it.

  2. Hi there,
So I have to be honest, I have no interest in Medical Marijuana so I am not very informed. For someone like me, having hard facts by medical professionals that can be verified would be very interesting. I do have a friend whose daughter has CF and they fought for months to get her the CBD oil. Her seizures have slowed down but as their doctor said there can be many reasons why. I do find it hard to believe that an individual who has Epilepsy was basically "cured" and become seizure free. I am such a skeptic, wouldn't people who have Epilepsy be cured now by Marijuana. I am sure there are benefits from it and by all means why not try it.
